Questions

Does the Free plan require a credit card?

No. Most customers qualify by linking a GitHub account that is at least 30 days old. You can also qualify through an invite or access granted directly by Autohand. Adding a card is an optional verification method if no other option applies. Your card is not charged, and no subscription is created.

What counts toward my message and request limits?

One successful model response counts as one message, regardless of the length of the prompt or response. A request that fails before the model produces a response does not use your message allowance. Every request counts toward your requests-per-minute limit. This limit controls how quickly requests can be submitted and is separate from your five-hour and weekly message allowances. Autohand plans are measured in messages, not tokens. Context length depends on the model, so choosing Moa instead of Fantail changes how much content can fit in one message—not how many messages your plan includes.

What happens when I reach a limit?

Your request is rejected, and Autohand Code identifies which limit you have reached. It also provides a direct link to the upgrade page in the console. Requests are not queued or automatically switched to another model. Because message limits use rolling windows, capacity returns gradually as older messages leave the window.

Do the 5-hour and weekly windows reset at the same time?

No. Both are rolling windows calculated whenever you make a request. The five-hour window covers usage over the previous five hours, while the weekly window covers the previous seven days. You may still have weekly messages available after reaching your five-hour limit. This is the most common reason a session pauses during a task.

Does API usage count toward my Autohand Code limits?

Yes. Autohand Code, the Agent SDK, and direct API calls share the same account limits. A message used through the API reduces the number available in your editor. When you connect your own provider, that provider serves and bills for those requests directly, so they do not count toward your Autohand message limits. Your plan limits still apply whenever you use Autohand-hosted models. See Provider API for details.

Which models are included with each plan?

Fantail is available on every plan, including Free. Moa is available with Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. Pro and Max include the same models. Max adds more capacity and priority access rather than additional models. See Available models for the full comparison and gateway model catalogue.

How are Team and Enterprise limits shared?

Each seat adds capacity to a shared account pool that any member can use. Team seats add 300 messages per five hours and 3,000 per week, while Enterprise seats add 1,200 messages per five hours and 20,000 per week. Pooling prevents unused capacity from being locked to individual members, although one member may use a larger share of the total. The console provides account-wide usage information to help teams monitor consumption.

Which payment methods do you accept?

Card payments are accepted for all self-serve plans: Pro, Max, and Team. Enterprise customers can arrange invoicing on 30-day payment terms by contacting the Autohand sales team at sales@autohand.ai.

Are taxes included in the listed price?

No. Prices listed on the Autohand website exclude applicable taxes. Taxes may be added at checkout based on your location.

Can I change my billing currency?

You cannot change the currency of an active subscription. To use another currency, cancel your current subscription and resubscribe after the billing period ends. The price of your new subscription will be based on the pricing and conversion rate offered at checkout at that time.

What happens if my payment fails?

Your subscription enters a 14-day grace period, during which your paid-plan limits remain available. The console provides an option to update your payment method. If the payment is not resolved within 14 days, your account moves to Free plan limits. Your data is not deleted.

Do you offer refunds?

Subscription payments are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from Billing in the console, and your paid-plan limits remain available until the end of your current billing period. This policy does not affect any rights available under applicable consumer law. See See [Autohand policies](https://autohand.ai/policies/) for the governing Terms of Service.

What happens when I cancel?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Your paid-plan limits remain available until that date, which is shown in the console after you cancel. After the billing period ends, your account moves to Free plan limits. Your data is not deleted, and you can resubscribe at any time.

When does an upgrade take effect?

Upgrades are typically reflected within about one minute. You do not need to create a new API key, restart your client, or change your setup.
